CELLEBRITE SUPPORTS RAVEN IN EDUCATING CONGRESS

Collaboration is key to protecting children and supporting law enforcement.

Technology companies are commonly criticized for avoiding, if not completely ignoring, the growing issue of online child exploitation. Yet one technology company creates software that enables public safety agencies to combat this growing online threat and Cellebrite goes a step further in partnering with organizations committed to protecting kids.

Advanced digital investigative solutions help expedite criminal investigations – which leads to quicker justice for victims, prevention of future exploitation and sometimes helps return children home faster while simultaneously easing the strain for law enforcement officers facing an extreme workload. This mission was formalized last year by Cellebrite’s “Operation Find Them All,” a public commitment to accelerate investigations of online crimes against children and empower law enforcement with advanced solutions, tools and training.

Education has become a crucial component of this commitment as technology rapidly evolves and predators adapt in stride. In partnership, Raven and Cellebrite host educational events for Congressional members and staffers across Capitol Hill to ensure they are aware of the online dangers facing children each day. With access to this expertise and knowledge, legislators can improve legislation to comprehensively protect children while supporting law enforcement officers across the nation.

David Gee, Chief Marketing Officer at Cellebrite, reflected on the significance of collaborative education in this work: “The momentum Raven is creating in Washington to combat crimes against children is remarkable. Cellebrite is a proud partner and supporter, particularly when it comes to educating our national leaders on the important role technology plays in helping victims and survivors and holding their perpetrators accountable.”

February’s educational event focused on the dangers posed by Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI). It is easier than ever to create Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) as Generative AI can produce exploitative material without an existing image. Predators manipulate the technology to generate exploitative images that are then frequently used in sextortion schemes. Lawmakers cannot remain passive or uneducated on this issue, thus educational events like this one are crucial to advancing protective legislation.

As Raven maps its legislative goals for the 119th Congress, our team looks forward to integrating more educational events with Cellebrite to advance these goals and transform the nation’s response to online exploitation.
