Alan Flora

 Alan Flora – Alan Flora served in law enforcement for three decades until he retired in 2021 as the Special Agent in Charge of the Computer Crimes Unit of the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation.  From 2015 until his retirement, he served as the Commander of the North Carolina Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.  

Alan has a master’s degree in criminal justice from Saint Leo University and graduated from NC State University’s Administrative Officer Management Program for law enforcement executives.

As a Special Agent with the NCSBI, Alan investigated homicides, arson, embezzlement, public corruption, drug violations, digital evidence, and sex crimes. He served on the Hostage/Crisis Negotiation Team for fifteen years.  Outside of work, Alan is very active in volunteer service roles in his community, including more than a decade as a Boy Scout leader.
